SIR 250 is a Malkoff/Arisaka infrared‑only Scout light head: a 250 mW, 5° LED IR illuminator built in the same housing/optic pattern as the “HT” white‑light heads.
Dedicated IR only head (no white light) for 1‑cell Scout/300‑series style bodies.
Successor naming to the older EX IR 250; now sold as SIR 250/SIR 700 in the Malkoff Scout Head lineup.
Output: 250 mW IR (SIR 250); there is a higher‑powered 700 mW SIR 700 sibling.
Beam: ~5° tight beam using the HT housing/optic, giving solid throw with some spill for “umbrella” lighting.
Runtime: about 4 hours continuous for SIR 250; about 1 hour for SIR 700.
